The SM Store Beauty Section celebrates beauty once again by unveiling the winners of the The SM Face Search this year at the new SMX halls of SM Aura.

“The SM Store Beauty Section has always been the go-to place for our customers to look and feel beautiful. We’re happy when our shoppers discover something new from our wide range of beauty products - be it the right lipstick shade or the fragrance that best suits them. Through Face Search, we want to continue to engage with our customers and allow them to go places. We want to boost their confidence and provide opportunities for them to shine, hence our prizes for this run include multi-media exposure! We selected ladies who not only transformed physically, but also radiated beauty from within and showed confidence and the drive to win” says Reena V. Rodrigo, Watsons Beauty Trading Director.

To further equipt the girls in their journey, the Top 6 finalists underwent a Glam Camp Beauty Workshop led by Metro’s Beauty Editor and Image Consultant, Charmagne Garcia-Laconico, Fashion Editor Eldzs Mejia and senior makeup artists of the sponsor makeup brands – Eman De Leon (Revlon), Jim Ryan Ross (Maybelline) and Kathleen Garcia (MaxFactor). The six finalists namely Lindsay Louise Chetaud, Ruth Jimenez, April Vanessa Scott, Bettina dela Paz, Ellyz Santos, and Ivanna Pacis were given a how-to course in beauty and fashion by providing them tools and tips that will help them in any occasion—from etiquette and visual poise guidelines, wardrobe and styling choices, down to putting on their own makeup. “The Glam Camp Beauty Workshop is all about teaching these ladies how to ‘glam themselves up’ and take their beauty to the next level” says Laconico. 

From hundreds of entries around the country, only three winners was chosen—to not only represent the brand, but to inspire Filipina women to be beautiful and confident. Aside from receiving P50,000 worth of cash and gift certificates, Face Search gave the winners a hosting stint on The Lifestyle Network and a one-year modeling contract with Metro Magazine—making them the first multi-media Face of The SM Store Beauty Section. 

The six finalists were called on stage and were introduced. Then they were asked a few set of questions. Out of the six, three inners emerged:

Age: 19 years
Hobbies interests: modelling, painting, singing, guitar, piano.
What made you decide to join The Face Search?
"I decided to join the face search because as a model im interested in beauty and the object of this competition was to be the next big thing in beauty, so naturally i figured, if anything i would learn some knowledge that i could use to enhance my self as a model in my career."
What did you learn from The Face Search experience?
"I learned that beauty is not just about a pretty face, real beauty can be found in the way a person represents themselves to others, thr way they treat and respect others is just as beautiful as having genetically perfect features.

Lindsay Chetaud


Age: 16 years
Hobbies / Interests: swimming, camping, ice skating and shopping.
What made you decide to join The Face Search?
"I decided to join the face search because I know it'll be a perfect opportunity to learn new things with makeup, styling and etiquette."
What did you learn from The Face Search experience? 
"I learned everything that a beauty ambassador should know like how to take care of myself with skin care. The proper makeup to wear in the morning and at night. How to wear the right clothes and accessories that fit my body type and to be humble and gracious to the people that I meet."

Bettina Dela Paz 


Age: 21 years
Hobbies / Interests: sketching, make up, fashion, art, and architecture
What made you decide to join The Face Search?
"I spotted the ad of SM Beauty Face Search on Facebook and I saw this as an amazing opportunity for me to try something I really want to do which is modeling. It was also a chance to learn new things and grow along the way."
What did you learn from The Face Search experience? 
"I learned a lot from the experience, our Glam Camp taught not just about fashion and make up but also about etiquette and inner beauty. It has also taught me to be confident and assertive about creating myself."
