A few weeks back, I received a package with a mystery mascara with no name or brand but with a note that it promises to lift, curl and solve lash dilemmas for girls all around the world. I got to try this new curl in town before the big reveal and for a typical Asian girl with short sparse lashes, the difference amazed me.

After posting this photo on Instagram, followers guessed away and most said "Benefit!"

And right they are, the mystery mascara is no other than the new Roller Lash from the quirky, bold and oh-so-girly brand from San Francisco!

Last February 17, Benefit Cosmetics introduced this latest beauty innovation to friends of the brand and select press with another fun-filled event at Skye Lounge in Bonifacio Global City.

Hosted by the bubbly Sam Oh, the program began with select Pole Lux dancers performing Hairspray’s “The New Girl in Town,” or in Benefit lingo, “The new CURL in Town.” Beauty Mastermind, Trainer Miakka Lim then shared the motivation, inspiration and innovation behind the new roller lash mascara. According to Benefit, they discovered that, believe it or not, millions of girls around the world cannot wear mascara because of short and super straight lashes. Benefit’s solution? The new roller lash super-curling & lifting mascara!

Lim performed a quick demonstration to showcase roller lash’s amazing curl power. Applying mascara to the lashes of just one eye, the immediate curling and lifting effect can be seen – without the use of an eyelash curler!

Targeting benebabes with short and straight lashes that are unable to hold a curl, Benefit created a mascara with a patent-pending Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush with custom-designed hooks to help catch, lift and curl lashes.

The brush was matched with an instant curve-setting formula that holds for 12 hours, is easy to remove and contains Provitamin B5 and Serine, known for their lash conditioning benefits. Of course, the amount of product applied to the lashes is also key to holding the curl, and Benefit assured the perfect product distribution with a specially designed wiper.

Of course, the event wouldn't be worth going to if we haven't tried Roller Lash for ourselves!

Look how lifted Julia's lashes are!

And mine too!

Channeling old school rollers with my super curled lashes!

Aside from the program proper, guests were entertained by hunky models (a Benefit event must-have!) and escorted through a series of activity booths, including tarot card readings and roller lash-themed games.

A beauty salon-inspired makeover area was also available to keep guests (and even their pooches!) look primped & pretty.

Thank you Benefit for yet another fun-filled afternoon! You guys never fail to excite and entertain!
