When Majolica Majorca came to our shores last year, I wasn't as excited. With so many cosmetic brands around, it seems like nothing can ever surprise a make-up artist anymore. But as I've gradually gotten to know the brand, its story chapters and the products they carry, I became a believer. I usually don't mind what's inside my personal make-up kit that I carry around in my purse, but with MJ's chic regal packaging, I can't help but fill in my bag with those golden intricate cases! Very classy and first-rate, you wouldn't know they're reasonably priced!

Last week, I had the privilege to be invited again in one of their collection launches. This time, it was at Edsa Shangri La Hotel to launch their Lash King collection. As the invite promised, we were indeed welcomed in a royal chamber:

The Lash King collection: Blood On, Majoromantica J and Lash King

Moving on to the most exciting part of blogger's event, the product testing!

LASH KING MASCARA   (P795.00)

So what makes this mascara different from the other mascara's of Majolica Majorca? As the name connotes, MJ created this mascara to be the king of all mascaras. Superior in delivering length and volume, it has 5mm fibers in the formula for thicker texture and extended length.

Its unique acrobat brush makes it easy to apply the product in any angle. And look at those visible fibers!

I like that the formula contains gloss oil for a wet look shiny finish that defines blackness of the lashes. It looks a lot better in person and in pictures. The acrobat catch brush also scoops plenty of mascara fluid making it easier to use. It also kept its promise to provide length and volume. However, with all the fibers, I felt my eyes a bit heavy after just an hour. This usually happens to me with stronger mascara formulations. I have pretty sensitive eyes. I asked the other bloggers though and they didn't experience what I did. Overall, I'd say this is pretty much a good buy.

BLOOD ON TINT   (P495.00) - Limited Edition

This cheek and lip tint is perfect for that ruddy glow. Most of the tints that I own are either pink or orange. It's nice to have something different. This is almost like the Stila Convertible Color Blush in Poppy shade that I've been eyeing for weeks now. The gel formula blends well into the skin without feeling sticky. It gives a deeper color than most tints so you don't need to layer a lot to get enough pigment. I love love this!

MAJOROMANTICA J FRAGRANCE OIL   (P995.00) - Limited Edition

You might remember Majolica Majorca's limited edition Majoromantica fragrance oil last year from its Fake Sleeping collection. This is something similar to that, but this time, the formula has shimmer and the scent is a bit less sweeter. I prefer this as compared to last year's. I'm glad though that they didn't change the pocket-size bottle. It's perfect even for my party purse!

Majolica Majorca The Lash King collection will be available starting February 15, 2012 in all leading SM department stores and Watson's outlets nationwide. For more info, visit and like them on Facebook.
