As promised in my previous blog post, here's a review of Majolica Majorca's Summer 2011 collection "Fake Sleeping". Like any other collection they released, there's a story behind it:

"After a hundred years of peaceful slumber and dreaming, a Princess finally awakens to the gentle kiss of a Prince. Her big and round eyes fluttered open revealing long, rich lashes. Her eyes, which were full of sparkles were like nothing anybody has ever seen.

They were truly, a breathtaking and enchanting sight to behold."

Like Sleeping Beauty in the forest, you too can look like as if you were just awoken by one gentle kiss of Prince Charming from a hundred years of slumber. The collection enchants us with two unique make-up items:

Aurora Tear Liner

This is the perfect liner to achieve big sparkly eyes that shine. The thin applicator brush allows you to either add sparkles to the tips of your upper lashes for a fluttering blink or on the lower lash line to make eyes appear big, dewy and more dolly. Its clear gel base, which is designed to resemble the glistening of pearls, instantly makes the eyes look brighter and clearer.

(L-R) Aurora liner applied on lashline; Aurora liner applied on the tips of the lashes

For a more embellished look, it can be applied on the tip of the lashes, giving the impression of big pearl pieces that fit tightly. It's available in pink or blue hue at  595.00.

Majoromantica Fragrance

This honey-sweet aphrodisiac makes me think of a mysterious forest filled with blooming flowers and fruits. Its thick texture blends well into the skin, giving off a combination of sweet and fruity fragrance.

Top notes: Juneberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Pomegranate, Apple, Fig, Mangosteen, Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin
Middle notes: Herbal & Floral Rose, Sweet Pea, Jasmine, Muguet, Gardenia, Chamomile, Clary Sage
Base notes: Sweet & Romantic Vanilla, Maple, Brown Sugar, Sandalwood, Amber, Musk, Oakmoss

Majoromantica's scent reminds me of my perfume back in high school, J.Lo Glow. Only this is much sweeter. The size of the bottle is perfect for travel; I can carry this around with me in my purse and reapply anytime I want. At 995.00, it's quite reasonable since a little goes a long way.

What I love most about this collection is that it isn't a repetition of old collections or just a repackaging of regular items. There are a lot of make-up brands that repackages an old product and automatically proclaims it's a new collection. Unique and extraordinary, you should grab yourself these limited edition items to add to refresh your make-up arsenal.

Majolica Majorca Fake Sleeping collection will be available this coming July 2011 in leading SM department stores and Watson's outlets nationwide.
