When I received a package from Kracie to try out their Himawari Oil in Shampoo and Conditioner, I immediately looked at the details at the back of the bottle to see if it's silicone- and sulfate-free. And thank God they are! You see, I have been regularly highlighting my hair every six months. Because of this, I need hair products that won't fade my hair color. Just in time, Himawari was sent to me just in time when my Kerastase Chroma shampoo and conditioner have a few drops left.

As with all silicone- and sulfate-free shampoos, the formula of Himawari didn't lather as richly as most shampoos, which is actually a good thing as it won't strip your hair of its natural oils. The shampoo is evidently moisturizing as even after rinsing it off, my hair didn't tangle as it normally would with regular shampoos, thanks to the sunflower extract essence and sunflower seed oil in it.

On the other hand, the Himawari Oil In Conditioner has a rich texture. After getting out of the shower, combing was a breeze. It says on the label that it restores the perfect oil-water balance, which is badly needed by people with dry and frizzy hair.

My hair dried out smoothly and with less frizz. It was just more manageable overall. And for a silicone- and sulfate-free hair product, the price isn't actually expensive.

The Himawari Oil In Shampoo and Conditioner are both available in 500ml bottles at P695.00 each at Beauty bar outlets nationwide.
