Kate Middleton's wedding beauty look was the first thing I eyed on when I saw the live feed of the Royal Wedding last Friday. The new Duchess of Cambridge chose to keep her hair down and long in soft waves, topped off with an understated lace veil over her Cartier tiara. Her flowy hair was courtesy of her longtime stylist, James Pryce of Richard Ward salon in London."Catherine’s bridal look is called the 'demi chignon' — an updo style which combines a classic bridal look with a regal, couture finish. The focus of the style was Catherine's unique and individual halo style tiara, set just back from the hairline, which determined the finished look," the salon stated.

Whether or not Kate Middleton did her own wedding makeup remains unconfirmed, but the word around is she took lessons from makeup artist Arabella Preston to perfect her technique for the big day. The princess chose a rosy-toned blush and paired it with some pink gloss for an opulent soft glow. She accentuated her eyes with black eyeliner and a smoky blend of charcoal and taupe shadows on the lids and creases.
