Finally, after the long wait! Japanese brand MUJI opens it's 120th store worldwide in the Philippines, brought by retailer Store Specialists, Inc. The Muji Manila store is located at Bonifacio High Street, in the space currently occupied by Play & Display’s second BHS branch (above Gap).

Muji — or Mujirushi Ryouhin in its full Japanese name, is best known for being a “brand-less” brand (the name itself means “no name good products”). They have a wide variety of clothing, accessories, personal care, interior and household goods, stationery, and specialty food items known for their simple but elegant designs and functional aesthetic.

I use to hoard their brandless eyeshadow applicator brushes (the one seen above) whenever I visit Hong Kong. Quality is at par with Shu Uemura eyeshadow natural brush 10! I also have a couple of thier quad eyeshadows in cases similar also to Shu Uemura Glow On blushes! I don't think Muji here carries the entire make-up line (comparing to Hong Kong and Singapore) but they do have enough from their first store in High Street. Nothing too pricey, everything's under ₱1,000.

Even their beauty shelves carry reasonably priced organic skincare and bodycare products. Price starts at ₱350.

Their canisters an organizers are to die for! I’m addicted to finding new ways to organize my beauty and make-up paraphernalia and this shelf caught me a good one hour. So much to choose from!

It was confirmed that a second store will open and yayy! -- It's going to be located in Rockwell! Anton Huang, the vice president of SSI, said they have big plans for the brandless brand and are looking into opening more branches in 2011. How exciting is this?
