Volumizing, lengthening, curling, and even vibrating! You name it. We girls just need our mascaras. I've probably tried more than fifty kinds in this lifetime in search for the perfect tube that will give me the lushest lashes. Don't judge me just yet. Take into account that one tube can only be used for three short months and needs to be replaced or else you'd be risking yourself with an eye infection. So if you compute, I bought just the right amount!

It will take me forever if I'd write a review for each and every tube I've tried. So let's just move forward and see the latest and promising ones in the market today. There seems to be a trend towards film-type formulations, meaning it is water-resistant yet washable with soap and water, while still being smudge-proof. The mascaras reviewed below are all film-types. I also included a complimentary eye product that I recommend it to be used with.

Fairydrops Platinum Mascara T2 Film Type (P1,195.00)

I've already reviewed the first and old formula of Fairydrops mascara here and talked about its unique wand and luxurious formula that work together to create dramatic, doll-like effects. This new formula has twice the amount of eyelash treatment than the first one and has garnered the top 1 spot as the best mascara in Japan. The unique teardrop brush wand catches even tiny lashes from the roots between the balls and makes sharp triangle bunches that create the doll-like eyes that most Japanese women have. It pushes lashes up, creating curls with no clumps. I find that this is also the safest mascara to use on lash extensions.

Fairydrops is available in all Beauty Bar outlets nationwide.

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister F (P795.00)

I've also tried the previous formula of the Lash Expander and posted a review on it here but was still excited to try this one as it promised to deliver the same results while being easy to remove at the end of the day. Most of my fellow beauty bloggers rave about this mascara and some might've even said that it's their favorite among the others. This mascara is built with 4mm jet black long fibers and contains a liquid lengthening base that smoothly coats each individual lash. The duo functional comb lifts and lengthens even the shortest of my lashes and delivered a superb curl effect. I particularly like the gloss effect that accentuates the blackness of the lashes.

ZA Perfect Action Mascara

The first ZA mascara I've tried, the Perfect Action mascara is an all-in-one mascara that gave my lashes both volume and length. For the affordable price, it was surprising to see that it created upturned, dense, and long lashes while effectively separating them with no clumps. The flat wide brush delivers ZA's unique Long Stretch Fibers, adding length to the lashes. The moisturizing collagen is gentle enough to be used even on the most sensitive eyes.
