If you're about the same age as me, you'd remember Benetton's Hot & Cold franchise in their witty faucet-shaped bottles. Created in 1997, the Hot & Cold franchise is the best-selling line in the Benetton fragrances. Now, reinterpreted in a more contemporary gold and silver versions, I personally think the fragrances grew up same time as I did!

The first version of the ever popular Hot & Cold
Hot & Cold reinterpreted as molten metals
Hot Gold for Women
This light and elegant fruity floral fragrance opens with a bright bergamot note, rounded out by touches of golden apple and yellow peach. The delicate heart blends star fruit and radiant rose with soft hints of mimosa, developing into a sensual dry-down of sandalwood, solar musks and golden amber. I adore how this scent is kind of more grown-up compared to its previous fragrances. Though targeted for the young and early 20's, I do think women of all ages can wear this. It's elegant and sophisticated yet youthful.
How can I resist when the bottle's a mix of gold and white? My favorite color combination!

Cold Silver for Men
With dynamic top notes of yuzu, coriander and ginger, the aromatic silver sage is spiced with a pinch of cardamom seeds. The woody dry-down blends silver moss, mineral amber and vibrant musks, creating a strong, unmistakably masculine signature. Perfect for an everyday fragrance for men, this scent is both cool and sleek. I actually am contemplating on getting a bottle... for myself! It's refreshing to switch to men's fragrance sometimes!

During the launch, Emily Sia of Midas Brands gave a low-down on some of the other Benetton fragrances they've launched for the year. It's surprising how reasonably priced they are. You won't spend more than P1,500 for a 100ml bottle!

Here are some of the photos of the fragrances you can get hold of.

(L-R) Rosso, Giallo, Verde, Blu, Bianco & Nero

The four fragrances inspired by the colorful world of Benetton, Rosso, Giallo, Verde and Blue is now completed by Benetton's introduction of two new scents: Bianco and Nero. Benetton took its vision of unity in diversity one step further, invoking the ultimate attraction of opposites with two new scents in the Benetton fragrance collection.

Bianco (White) For Women
Depicting purity and innocence, this fresh fragrance reveals a juicy opening made of litchee pulp and white mulberry. The composition evolves toward a floral heart mixing white rose and dewy jasmine creating an envelopping sensation. The base is a soft association of cotton musk and white patchouli. Very romantic and feminine, it's perfect to spritz on some of this for a special night out.

Nero (Black) For Men
Though said to be the color of mystery and darkness, Nero's actually very light and not intense at all. The heart of this fragrance is made of spicy juniper berries and maces notes. The black trail unveils musky drydown mixed with ebony woods and Indonesian patchouli. Among all the fragrances Benetton presented to us that day, this is definitely my favorite! I'll buy this, again, for myself even if it's supposedly for men.
