For someone who has been an insomniac for about 10 years now, my eyes are seriously exhausted. I'm no skincare junkie but when it comes to the latest eye creams or products, I'm always first to queue for them! Just this week, I excitedly opened a package from The Body Shop that are all eye products aimed to restore tired eyes — from brightening the eye area to blurring fine eye lines to making them more awake.

Here's what I've got to say about them:

Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate

This unique eye concentrate is enriched with Edelweiss plant stem cells that instantly refreshes the eye contour, and smoothes out the appearance of lines, bags and fatigue. It's aimed for us who are not so young anymore to maintain younger-looking eyes.

I used this for two consecutive mornings after surviving just five hours of sleep for an early call time for a makeup job. It was too soon to see improvement on the appearance of lines around the eyes but the appearance of my eye bags seemed to have reduced. My eyes definitely appear less tired as all my clients who I saw that weekend told me I didn't look like as if I lacked hours of sleep. The innovative cooling roller ball pump applicator helped refreshed my eye area as U massaged it and the puffiness around the eyes had dramatically lessened.

All-In-One Instablur Makeup Primer

This all-new face perfecter infused with marula oil promised to blurs imperfections, giving you flawless photo-perfect skin in an instant! It's said to be shine-controlling for 12 hours and reduces the appearance of pores and blemishes.

Overall, it really did the job that it's suppose to do! It goes on clear with a translucent gel texture, so you can't tell if it hides anything until you apply your makeup. I noticed that I didn't need to use as much under-eye concealer as I need to with Instablur. I'm not into retouching my face throughout the day except for blotting off excess oil and with Instablur, I just used one instead of two which, is my usual average. It also hid the fine lines that I'm now starting to have around my lip and eye area. It reminds me of Benefit's Porefessional, only that this has a lighter texture. I prefer the silky lightness feel of this one.

2-In-1 Gel Liner & Brow Definer

This innovative formula was created to draw the perfect eye line or to fill in the brows. It's available in two shades: black and brown. It promises a long lasting effect up to 12 hours and can be used to create a variety of different looks.

The 2-In-1 formula with the brush integrated in a smart packaging

For gel users out there, you know that compared to a pen liner, gel liners don't usually give a sharp defined line compared to pens. I've been an avid user of Bobbi Brown's gel liner and this is quite comparable to it, except on the long-lasting effect. What I love most about this product is the brush as it has dual purpose  hold it one way and you get a sharp thin line or hold it another way and you get a thick smoky line.

The 2-In-1 Gel Liner & Brow Definer in Brown

Now that I'm done with my reviews on the three products, let's see how the result of it on my face. Below, I'm using the Instablur under my makeup and the 2-In-1 Gel Liner & Brow Definer in Brown to lightly fill in my brows and define my upper and lower lash line. Note too, that this photo was taken today, after two days of using the Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate in the morning.

So what do you think? I'm very much happy with what I see! I don't look tired at all despite the busy weekend I had!

All the three products are available in all The Body Shop stores nationwide.
