While New York and Paris are busy showing off Spring 2011's trends, let's take a look on what really matters: beauty trends that's hot now. This Ber months of 2010, try a trend or two... or maybe all! You've got until next year's Valentine's to pull these trends off.

1. Bright Lips
You can skip the heavy blush and eyeshadow this fall—all you need is a tube of traffic-stopping
bright lipstick. For precision and stay-put color, fill in your lips with a matching liner and layer lipstick on top. To keep the spotlight on your mouth, steal a trick from the makeup artists at Moschino and Just Cavalli: Skip mascara and let your mouth do all the talking!

Blame it on Hollywood’s still-strong vampire trend, but vampy plum shades are the hot lip color for fall. If you’re feeling bold, slick it on straight from the tube. Not so daring? Take baby steps by using your pointer finger to gradually press on color for a wine-stained effect. Add a shimmery gold shadow to the inner corners of your eyes to keep your look from going too Goth. I love
D&G Lipstick in Amethyst. You can still choose your bright red, red-orange or crimson lipcolor if you're not buying the vamp vibe.

2. Bare Skin
To pair with your bright lips! As said above, you can skip blush and eyeshadow, and hold your breath -- even mascara -- to pop that pout. In contrast, some shows like Alexander Wang chose to go 100% natural with nude lips to complete the "no make-up" make-up look.

3. Colored Nails
The pretty-meets-punk concept was carried over into the nail department. Whether you're opting for neutrals, brights or pastels, just make sure your tips aren't bare this Ber months. The most popular colors now in the
shades of gray and other dark neutrals.

4. Bright Smoky Eyes
Smoky eyes have forever been a fall beauty trend. Instead of basic black, however, this season’s sultriest eyes involve lots and lots of color. Inspired by David Bowie and '80s club kids, the eye makeup was kooky at times. The pros brushed on red, orange, violet, and yellow shades—and even glitter—and blended the shadow beyond the outer corners of the eyes to give them an elongated shape.

5. Bedroom Hair
Whether its messy waves or distressed buns, Fall hair is expected to center around easy, no-fuss styles that will last a few days (and get better when dirty!).

Low Unkept Chignons
“Chignons are like hemlines—they move up and down according to the season,” says hair pro Franco Della Grazia. The key to keeping your bun in style this fall: Wear it low and messy. “It shouldn’t look salon perfect—keep it more street,” adds Grazia. Take a cue from the knots at Philosophy and pull a few strands out to give it a natural, sexy vibe.

Messy Ponytails
Against fall's crisp clothes,
loose ponytails look sexy, not sloppy. Hairstylists finger-raked them back for a rumpled finish, sometimes teasing them, and let stray pieces fall where they may. "Unbothered and carefree" was what hairstylist Orlando Pita called the result.

6. Thick Brows
Big is beautiful this fall—especially when it comes to your arches, as seen at Prada. Put down the tweezers and fill in sparse areas using a brow pencil that matches your hair color. To avoid the drawn-on effect, blend the color with your natural brow hair using a clean mascara wand.>

7. Kohl Liner
Pat McGrath played with orange and purple half circles at Miu Miu, and Peter Philips re-created a painted print borrowed from bags and shoes at Chanel. But Stéphane Marais really took eyeliner to the extreme, placing dashes of pigment above and below the eyes at Zac Posen. The desired effect: "trashy with dignity."

8. High Up Hair
Don’t make Marge Simpson or Snookie your beauty icon just yet, but do add some catwalkworthy height to your hair, like this updo from Vera Wang. Work a light volumizing booster into damp hair and blow-dry upside down so roots dry at a 90-degree angle. Then tease hair by holding it taunt and pushing strands in the opposite direction using a fine-tooth comb an inch from the root. Smooth the front section of your hair over the back-combed area.

9. Everything Purple
Whether as a nail polish, lipstick, eye shadow or eye liner, dark purple is a big trend for fall. I personally feel that it's only but appropriate as purple symbolizes the dark and cold months of Fall.

10. Fishtail Braid
Think the braid has been played out? Think again. At Dior, hair was twisted down the back of the head and swept across the side in the form of a fishtail plait. When crafting the fishtail yourself, you can go for a sleeker texture on top.
