To be real honest, I can't remember the last time I wore contact lenses as they are more of an accessory to me rather than a necessity. I remember though that what made me stop wearing them is the discomfort of having to bear dry eyes and consistently putting on saline drops every hour.

Just last Wednesday, I attended the launch of AIR OPTIX® COLORS. It's the first I've heard of Air Optix and so I listened intently on the program hosted by Sam Oh and here's what you need to know:

What are AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses?

These lenses are designed to enhance dark or light eyes, with a completely natural effect and can be prescribed with or without vision correction. They are made with a unique, smooth surface and feature a technology that combines 3 colors in 1 to blend naturally with the color of your eye, so you can experience a new look that can be subtle or vibrant.

Do I need a prescription to wear AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses?

Yes. Contact lenses are medical devices that should be fitted by a licensed eye care professional, even for people who do not need vision correction. AIR OPTIX® COLORS Color Studio offers a virtual experience with 9 different color contact lenses available to try on, making it an easy way to find the color that best fits you.

AIR OPTIX® COLORS come in natural and bright shades

What prescriptions are available for AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses?

Your eye care professional can determine the contact lens and correction that are best for you. The quick contact lens snapshot below includes all available prescriptions.

What makes AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses different from FreshLook® Color contact lenses?

Both color contact lens brands share the 3-in-1 Color Technology; however, AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses are made of the same material as AIR OPTIX® AQUA contact lenses, the #1 monthly replacement contact lenses2. AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses are six times more breathable* than the leading color contact lenses3, for healthy-looking and healthy-feeling eyes.

How do I care for my AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses?

Proper contact lens care is important, but not difficult. AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses should be removed and cleaned daily. For best results, we recommend OPTI-FREE® PureMoist® Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution to care for your AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses.

Upon trying on Air Optix, I immediately felt the difference of this compared to other contact lenses brands I've worn in the past. My eyes definitely were able to "breathe" and I didn't feel like I was wearing contact lenses. And though they come in colors same as Fresh Look, they are subtler, which I like! As you can see in the photo above, my eyes really looked brighter and "awake" in the color Green. I wore this pair for ten hours and I only felt the need to put saline drops once. That says a lot.

Congratulations to the entire Air Optix team for a successful launch!

AIR OPTIX® COLORS  is now available in all leading optical clinics nationwide at P1,500 a pair good for a month upon opening.
